Transforming Perspectives | Since the time of the fall of man, God has placed a shield to prevent evil’s full impact of lawlessness upon humanity. Little is known about the pivotal event marking the reality of the Lord’s Second coming, identified as the Restrainer’s hold.
Apostle Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonians is the only biblical account describing the occurrence which the Spirit of God, the Restrainer who has been holding back or guarding mankind from the evils of lawlessness until the appointed time of release, refer as ‘the Restrainer’s let,’ meaning to let go.
Jesus shares with his disciples of the conditions of humanity during this time, explaining iniquity meaning sin, wicked acts and injustices will become rampant from which men’s hearts will become cold.
Paul commending the faithful for their perseverance during suffering, also exhorts to remain steadfast and immovable in faith waiting for the Lord’s return. Because of the gravity of lawlessness and deprivation, many being offended with God will fall away from the faith, known as the Great Apostasy.
But, Great is God’s faithfulness who has revealed his plan for the redemption of humanity, Grace and admonishes of the conditions of the end of this age.

Jesus Christ being the author and finisher of our faith, will never leave nor forsake us, and encourages us to remain faithful until the end, his glorious return, as King. Jude encourages us, “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. “ Jude 1:3 , KJV.
