Transforming Perspectives
The Call of God is threefold; a calling or drawing, a choosing or the chosen and an election or the elect. Do not be fooled these terms are neither a distinction of specialness nor preferential.
Truthfully, the distinction is how we respond to God’s drawing or calling often referred metaphorically as spiritually knocking on our hearts.
All are called to be disciples of Jesus Christ. The chosen are believers who have answered and have been converted. The elected refers to believers who have remained in sanctification, being set apart and used for service for the LORD.
Biblical Principle
Apostle Peter encourages us to remain in Jesus Christ in sanctification and godliness, solidifying our calling and election.
2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
